Squeegee vs. Water-Fed Pole: What's the Difference?

Both tools clean windows, but they're suited to different situations — here's the actual difference.

Squeegee Cleaning

The traditional method: apply cleaning solution, then use a squeegee for a clean, streak-free pull. Best for ground-level and reachable windows where direct hand access is possible. Gives excellent control and finish quality on accessible glass.

Water-Fed Pole Systems

Uses purified (deionized) water through an extendable pole with a brush head, rinsing the glass with water so pure it dries completely spot-free without any wiping. Designed for reaching second-storey windows, skylights, and other hard-to-access glass from the ground — no ladder needed.

Why Not Just Use One or the Other?

Squeegee work gives a slightly sharper finish on easily reached glass, while water-fed poles solve the access problem for anything beyond arm's reach — using a squeegee on a second-storey window usually means a ladder, which adds real risk for a job a pole can do from the ground.
